I have a Samsung RF265BEAESR/AA refrigerator. The week of September 23rd I noticed my food was warmer than normal. A few days later my food was completed warmed and thawed in my freezer. The ice maker completely froze over and I couldnt even get the bin out. It started to leak water from the freezer and I lost about $400-$500 worth of food. I called Samsung and was told about my warranty. 1 yr, 5yr and 10yr. I agreed to have a tech come take a look for a $150 service fee. The day of the service no one ever showed up. I called back very frustrated and was told they canceled the order because the part was discontinued. I asked how do u know without coming to look at it. The said they had a way. Next I talked to another rep who told me they would give me a refund and deduct 10% for every year outside of the warranty. So $2300 minus 40% = $1380. I then wrote a complaint to the [REDACTED] and now their customer care agent has called and said they aren’t going to help at all.
