I have an LG Washer top load. When doing laundry, a cord was exposed in the top of the washer with the coating worn off and electrical wires exposed to the water in the laundry tub. I contacted LG. They determined that they would pay for labor but not for the cord replacement that was obviously not properly secured above and behind the laundry tub. I was told it was the cord for the switch. It took from 10/3 until 11/2 for the repairman to “Diagnose”–I had sent a picture. Now it will take another 4 weeks for them to replace/order the part. Exposed wires and water do not mix.
