I, [REDACTED], was using our Hamilton Beach hand mixer to make cookies, mixed the cookie dough with our mixer and baked into cookies in our kitchen at home. After taking baking cookies, took out of oven and set aside to cool. All family members had cookie and my son experienced a hard metal object in his mouth while chewing, he spit it out and we discovered a half round metal object, sort of shiny and possible copper looking, looked like half of a washer. From observing exterior of mixer could not see anything wrong and no other metal utensils were used in the mixing process so i disassembled the mixer, shook it and we all heard a rattle, continued to shake and the other half of what looks like a washer fell out. very disturbing for this to happen. we have always used this hand mixer without incident, but not used that often. product should be recalled as soon as possible.
