CUISINART TOA60 CONVECTION AIRFRYER TOASTER OVEN, PREMIUM 18

I bought a Cuisinart Toaster Oven Air fryer from Amazon. This is the letter that I sent to [REDACTED]:
——————-

Dear [REDACTED],

I bought my nephew the Cuisinart TOA-60 Convection AirFryer Toaster Oven, Premium 1800-Watt Oven with Seven in One Functions and Wide Temperature Range, Large Capacity Air Fryer with 60 minute Timer/Auto Shut Off, Stainless Steel for $225.84 after coupon on January 15, 2022. It was order number [REDACTED].

At first my nephew absolutely loved it. He is a home cook, and said it was the best gift he ever received. In July 2022 it caught on fire. He thought he did something wrong. He called Cuisinart and they said, Oh well, do not use it, throw it out. It was seven months old. I checked the reviews before I bought it. I researched the product all over. I did not see mention of this issue except for “sometimes it runs hot”. He loved the oven so much he wants to buy a replacement. I don’t trust the company anymore.

I have since looked at past reviews using your filter for “critical reviews”. As of today, there are 3,574 reviews claiming that the oven burned their food or caught on fire. We are not the only ones that this happened to. It seems to be a known problem, and Cuisinart is not honoring anything. They wouldn’t replace it.

I am curious if you are aware that you are selling a product with a known defect, and that the company will not honor its warranty? What bothers me the most is that we bought Cuisinart specifically because it is a good company. Or at least it used to be.

After all my research, I believe I should be refunded the full cost of the item. Additionally, I believe that you need to stop selling this particular product.

It seems that within the first year, the temperature controls stop working correctly, and the oven catches on fire. In the reviews everybody loves it, until it burns up. Luckily my nephew was in the kitchen when it happened, because the entire back of the unit was on fire.

It’s extremely disappointing that a company like Cuisinart would be selling this item.

I appreciate any help regarding this matter and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Amazon fully refunded me. They do not have the item for sale any longer. I am extremely concerned about these all-in-one toaster air fryers. They seem to run very hot. I have a friends who has one made by [REDACTED] and that one caught fire after 4 years. Somebody mentioned that there’s no heat shielding, but honestly I don’t know what that means.

I am wondering if there have been many house fires caused by these products. I have been trying to find one that is safe, but if you look at critical reviews, they all seem to have this issue. I cannot believe nobody’s got caught in a fire caused from this yet. I think it’s only a matter of time.

Thank you.
