LED lighted mini fridge (desktop cooler) overheated and melted its switch so that black on/off switch is immovable, and scorch marks (looks like burn marks) on outside of appliance near melted switch.
Was in a child’s bedroom, used to hold bottle water.
Product is less than a year old.
No injuries, but had it started a fire, there would be a risk of death.
Item was not in an enclosed area.
We bought it new at a bricks and mortar Walmart less than a year ago.
We have the receipt which shows the store where we bought it and the date.
Please contact the manufacturer and Walmart and let them know there are some red flags regarding the US distributor (which doesn’t list its address and its phone number on its website–I had to ascertain this info myself as I work in law enforcement and do this sort of research for a living).
Remember, I bought this in the physical store, NOT a 3rd party seller.
**I will keep the product for a limited time–I will send it to you with my own money if you need it–but if so, can you call me so I do not miss the email?
