I had a 9×12 Anchor Hocking baking dish in the oven. I removed it and placed it on the burners on my stove. The burners were turned on and were on a low setting. I was making gravy using flour and water, adding these to the drippings that were in the dish. This is something I have done with this dish for years. All of a sudden the dish exploded on the stove top and glass flew everywhere in my kitchen. As I was standing right over the dish when it exploded, I feel very fortunate that I was not injured in any way. Just scared out of my wits.
