8/29/2022: The glass baking dish was in the oven (425 degrees), and the consumer removed it after 30 minutes.
She was wearing a gloves and moving it to a cutting board when it shattered. Glass flew all over the kitchen. The consumer sustained a laceration to her right foot, which required sutures, just under her big toe, near the ligament.
A few days later the consumer called the manufacturer and reported the matter to them. The consumer was told that someone would call her back. [REDACTED] from Customer Satisfaction wrote her and asked 11 questions. She did not have her report from the urgent care at the time. [REDACTED] offered the consumer a $50 gift card to settle the matter. However, the consumer checked the internet and is more concerned about the frequency of these glass dishes shattering.
She has had the sutures removed. As of right now, she is not sure if she will need any follow up care.
The manufacturer did not provide her with a report number or reference number, when she communicated with them.
Case reference no [REDACTED] provided Mon. Sept 12, 2022 3:39pm
The consumer would like this matter to be noted with the manufacturer Claims Department, in case there are any future medical issues.
